03/08/16 - Jugiong - Home
Another cold night and heavy frost in the morning when we woke up, quite foggy as well.
After negotiating the boggy showground we climbed out of the valley to head back to the Hume Hwy to be greeted by this view above the fog.
A bit further on this sight captured our imagination.
Rather than barrel down the Hume Hwy we turned off to go through Wagga Wagga. Lots of water either side of the road as a result of all the recent rain.
Heading through Lockhart, very picturesque and worth another visit, we came to a closed road because of flooding. Lots of cars being turned back but because were in a 4wd we were allowed to cross behind a cattle truck.
Back home again after a very interesting trip.
Now to get ready to go to Adelaide to help our son Michael move in to his new house, never a dull moment.
02/08/16 - Moss Vale - Jugiong
Never stopped raining all night and we had some trouble getting out of our, by now veryy boggy, spot at Moss Vale. Anyway, our 4wd got us out of bother and off we went, in the rain, Jugiong further down the Hume Hwy.
01/08/16 - Richmond - Moss Vale
Followed the A9 via Penrith to Campbelltown and on to the Hume Hwy. Traffic not nearly as bad as on Saturday morning so we had a smooth trip out to Moss Vale Showground, just off the Hume Hume Hwy.
By the time we got there it was raining quite steadily, we've never had as much rain on a trip as we have had on this one.
Got talking to a bloke with a drone with a camera and he gave me an overhead shot of our camp.
