05/06/16 - St George - Texas Qld

Left the St George Caravan Park this morning, still cold, still raining. Headed for Texas, a small place in Qld just over the border from NSW.

Driving south from St George we saw more Cubbie Station cotton fields and quite a few large dams. First stop was the Nindigully Pub out in the middle of the bush, quite a few people camped around the pub as well.

Their advertising slogan is "Free beer - yesterday".

The pub is located at the old Nindigully Bridge.

Came across a big mob of cattle around Toobeah, most had enough sense to keep on the side of the road but one group deemed it necessary to block the road, only slowly moving to the side as we slowly advanced (being watched by the drover on his 4 wheel motorbike).

Stopped in Goondiwindi to get some supplies and diesel, still raining, then on to Texas via the Bruxner Hwy.

Crossed the NSW border and the Dumaresq River to the free camp at Texas.
