06/06/16 - Texas Qld

This is one of those little country towns that has a "soul". You can walk down the main street and people greet you, the locals are friendly and the town is very obviously well cared for.

We are camped at the free camp on the Dumaresq River just out of town, and a great free camp it is with plenty of people camped there.

Wandered around the Texas Cemetery, again beautifully looked after, and found some interesting graves.

This person doesn't even appear to be buried here!

This goes back to 1894.

One of the crops grown around Texas was tobacco and some reminders of that era still exist, a couple of tobacco drying sheds just out of Texas.
