Today we moved from the Showground to the RV Homebase for a couple of days, this is an over 55 village designed especially for people that own and use RVs.
They offer a 2 day stay on what they call their hard stand so people can inspect the village at their leisure and experience some of the facilities.
There are extensive facilities for the residents, as most (if not all) own an RV of one kind or another there is a big washing shed high enough to take the highest RV, with a raised platform on the side so you can reach the roof.
You can of course also wash your car in there.
As most RV owners also own a dog (usually of the handbag variety) there is also a dog wash facility.
The Mens Shed
Tennis courts
Bowling green
Swimming pool
Fitness centre
This is where they have Happy Hour every Friday
The village is about 2-3 years old and this is one of the houses in the first part to open, it overlooks the lake.
There are a lot of green spaces throughout the village.
We were taken on a tour of the facility by the manager and this is one of the houses we were shown through which we liked.
We finished off the day with a lovely dinner at the Maryborough RSL to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
