Basically it rained here for 48 hrs. Yesterday, 30/4, it didn't just rain it bucketed down.
Because it rained we decided to drive down to Caboolture to get a USB printer cable as the wireless function of the new printer is not all that reliable, has a habit of dropping out halfway through a page.
Picked up a USB cable from Jaycar in Morayfield and decided to also go to Morayfield Shopping Centre to stock up on some supplies.
Whilst we were in there the heavens really opened up, even the roof of the shopping centre started leaking in various places, have never seen and heard rain like it.
We left the shopping centre and after an op shop stop at a nearby Vinnies we headed back to Woodford, never got above 60km/h all the way.
Later found out that we left the underground car park just in time as soon after we left it flooded and even the escalators were partly under water.
Turned out Caboolture had 380mm of rain in 24 hrs and a total of 5 people were killed in the resulting floods, mainly people not obeying road closed signs and their car being swept away by the flood waters.

The fun was not all over as by about 6pm we were advised by the President of the showgrounds that the creek running alongside the showground was rising rapidly and to be ready to move out.
So we packed up and hooked up the 5th wheeler, getting thoroughly drenched in the process, then by 9pm we were told to evacuate to higher ground by the SES.
Moved to the main street of Woodford and were prepared to overnight there, but by 11pm it had stopped raining and we could see on the weather radar that the low front had passed to the south.
Decided to return to the showground, which had not flooded, so we decided to stay there overnight but hitched up and parked on bitumen ready to move again.
